咖喱魚蓉米

Speaking of classic Vietnamese dish, a lot of locals will immediately think of Estabelecimento de Comidas Fat Tat, which locates in a residential area. In 1984, the boss brought Vietnamese culinary culture to Macau by opening this small restaurant. The boss skillfully combine Cantonese preference and Vietnamese flavours. Even though the restaurant does not offer the most authentic Vietnamese flavour, it still captures local stomach and heart.

RECOMMENDATION

Curry and Fish Mince Noodle Soup

The signature Curry and Fish Mince Noodle Soup has a thick curry fish broth hugging every single vermicelli. The hint of coconut juice and the spiciness of the curry bring out the South East Asian culture. Along with the vermicelli, the dish is not greasy at all. I would recommend you to quickly enjoy the dish after taking a good shot of it, as the broth is at its best state when it is served.

Pho Bo

When we talk about Vietnamese dish, the first thing that comes up to mind must be “Pho Bo”. The broth for this dish is not as thick but it has a freshness of a beef soup. When the soup boils the beef slices to tender and pink, it means that they are ready to be eaten. A lot of customers travel far and wide to the city to enjoy this Pho Bo, so you know how charming this dish is.

Banh Cuon and Bun (Vietnamese Fried Rice Rolls with Vermicelli)

The cold version of the vermicelli is known as Bun, and it is a must order for summer season. This time I ordered Banh Cuon and Bun (Vietnamese Fried Rice Rolls with Vermicelli). First customers have to generously pour the secret sweet and sour sauce in the bowl and mix it well. The flavour of this dish along with the crunchiness of the rice roll and cha lua (Vietnamese sausage) is very appetizing.

Shredded Vietnamese Chicken

This Vietnamese-style shredded chicken is sure surprising. The shredded chicken is full of peanut crunch and shredded lettuce, so the texture is super crunchy. Along with the sweet sauce, the dish is getting perfect on the score board!

Cha Gio Chien (Vietnamese Spring Rolls)

Another Vietnamese specialty is Cha Gio Chien (Vietnamese Spring Rolls), The chewy texture as well as the vegetable and meat ratio are perfect. As I was eating the spring rolls I could taste the gentle flavour of rice.

Green bean Cendol

Chè Bà Ba

Coconut Green Bean Dessert

Finally, it’s dessert time! I had Coconut Green Bean Dessert as a refreshing ending! This dessert closely resembles Cantonese green bean soup but this one adds coconut juice to differentiate itself. If you want to have a refreshing drink, you can try the Chè Bà Ba or Green bean Cendol. They both are Vietnamese specialties.
