Many Cantonese cafes in Macau are famous for their pork chop buns and milk tea. How-ever, there is actually a much better variety to choice from. Ming Fei Cafe is a local one that many Macaunese love visiting. Every one inside is chowing down the signature herbal chicken noodle soup or the herbal fish head noodle soup. The original shop was opened in the 80s’, now the brand is run and carried on by the new generation

Herbal Chicken Noodle Soup
The broth of the noodle soup takes more than 12 hours to make. The rich flavor soup pair-ing with some fresh rice noodles is the killer selling point. The chicken and winter melon on top are tender and juicy and the portion is very generous. The soup tastes rich but it’s not bitter from the herbs.
Herbal Fish Head Soup
This item is most popular among my female friends since it’s known for providing essen-tial nutritions to the ladies. Fish heads can be fishy is not prepared correctly. The restau-rant spent a lot of time to test the best recipe for the soup and now it tastes fresh and rich without any fishy taste. The soup also has some health benefits, such as lowering blood pressure, and mitigating migraines.
Jelly fish Lo-Mein with Special Sauce Bones
This is another noodle dish. The taste is even richer than the previous two. Besides the toppings, I ordered a small plate of curry to mix with the noodles. The special sauce bones are very tasty. Pairing with the jelly fish makes the dish very interesting.
