Dai Pai Dong is part of Macau and Hong Kong culture. A big portion of dish along with a cold beer is the highlight of the Dai Pai Dong culture. Previously the eatery was located Workers Stadium next to the Barrier Gate border checkpoint and now it relocated to Taipa. Yet, after all those years it is still a hotspot for locals.

RECOMMENDATION
Golden meat crab
Entering the He Kee you will see the fresh seafood zone, at that moment you’d know ordering seafood here is inevitable. The restaurant owner asked us to try the tasty golden meat crab, so we did. The dish has an outer layer of salty egg yolk which embraces the sweetness of the crab flesh. My happiness level immediately increased. However, I want to remind you guys to reserve your seafood prior to your arrival, so the restaurant can ensure the freshness of the seafood.
Jiangnan chicken with cuttlefish
He Kee’s signature dish is its Jiangnan chicken with cuttlefish. Half of the order is mashed cuttlefish and the other half is chicken meat. The chicken is boneless, combining with the mashed cuttlefish the texture is very unique.
Runny cheese-filled cuttlefish ball
The evil runny cheese filling inside the cuttlefish ball is remarkable. The flavour of the cheese is not too rich and if you eat it when its hot you will be able to pull out cheese strings from the cuttlefish ball.
Homemade tofu with abalone sauce
The homemade abalone sauce tofu surprises me. The tofu has a hint of egg flavour yet it has the smoothest texture. It may seem like a simple dish but it is definitely a must-order at the restaurant.
He Kee stir fry king
How can you go to a Dai Pai Dong without ordering the stir fry king to accompany your beer? I recommend eating with white rice as the dish is salty and flavourful. The dish has dry fish jerky, cashew, leek and other ingredients!
